Cortney has been a nurse for more than 13 years, building a diverse background across several areas of healthcare and caring for people from many different walks of life. Those experiences have shaped not only the nurse she became, but also her belief that people deserve to feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for when they seek help.

A longtime advocate for mental health and substance use recovery, Cortney’s passion for helping others has extended well beyond the walls of healthcare. Over the years, she has been involved in countless community efforts, outreach opportunities, and initiatives centered around connecting people with support, reducing stigma, and reminding people that asking for help should never feel shameful.

As Director of Practice Excellence of Awen Health & Wellness, Cortney has the opportunity to bring together the parts of healthcare she loves most… people, problem-solving, advocacy, and creating meaningful change. She enjoys finding ways to make processes work better, supporting the team behind the care, and making sure the patient experience never gets lost in the day-to-day operations of a growing practice.
